Connecting climate change organizations & professionals from all different backgrounds, levels of experience & skill sets to learn practical skills in systems innovation. A space to experiment, from June through to December participants take part in e-learning, workshops, group project challenges and a 4-6 week placement.

We are looking for the next generation of climate innovators! Could this be you, if so please apply today!
Operating in twenty European locations, the Pioneers programme runs from June through to December and consists of a 4-6 week placement (domestic or international), bespoke transitions thinking & systems innovation mentoring delivered through a structured workshop programme and online training.

ASPRING PIONEERS & HOSTS ACROSS THE EUROPEAN UNION
Live in one of the participating locations
Have a University degree related to the field of climate change and/or sustainability OR another equivalent degree in another field is desirable
Have at least 2 years of working/voluntary experience in a field related to climate change and/or sustainability.
Are located within one of the eligible locations.
Can provide a working space and relevant supervision to work with the pioneer in defining a sustainability-related work task for the placement
Able to host placements between September and mid-November.
Live in one of the participating locations

Case Studies
Katarzyna Cymera
Before training as an energy auditor in 2010, Katarzyna Cymera worked for 20 years in education, which included roles as a teacher, headmaster and education inspector. Katarzyna currently carries out inspections and certificates of the energy performance of buildings with the aim of reducing the impact on the climate through better energy use. Katarzyna joined the Pioneers programme in 2018 as she wanted to explore different viewpoints and to share and gain knowledge from other people to improve the environment. She also wanted to work on an international project with climate innovators.
